Halliru Dauda Jika, born in 1976 in Bauchi State, Nigeria, is both a businessman and a politician. He gained recognition in the political sphere as a former member and briefly the speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly. His political journey extended to the national level where he served as a member of the House of Representatives and later as a Senator representing Bauchi Central. Jika is also known by the nickname “Dokaji.”
In terms of education, Jika attended Sardauna Memorial College in Kaduna, Kaduna State, completing his studies in 1999. He furthered his education in Civil Engineering at Kaduna Polytechnic, graduating in 2003.
Jika’s political career is marked by his election as a representative for the Darazo and Ganjuwa Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, where he served two terms: the first from 2007 to 2011 and the second from 2011 to 2015. In the 2019 general elections, he advanced to the Senate, securing a seat for Bauchi Central under the All Progressive Congress (APC) banner.
On a personal note, Jika practices Islam and is a family man, married with children.
